Abstract

Objective of the study is to study the level of preparedness of sports pedagogues for the social upbringing of young athletes. Methods and structure of the study. 78 coaches and methodologists in the sports cultivated at the Centre of Sport and Education ‘Sambo-70’ took part in the study. An anonymous survey was conducted, aimed at assessing the sports pedagogues’ understanding of the value of the social integration of young athletes. Results and conclusions. By the socialisation of young athletes, sports pedagogues understand successful integration into the social environment during the period of engaging in sport and outside the training process. The level of awareness of the forms and methods of socialisation is statistically significantly connected with the professional experience of the sports pedagogues.
