Abstract

Objective of the study is to determine the effectiveness of the specialised training of combat athletes aged 17-22 on the basis of endurance coefficient indicators in competitive bouts. Methods and structure of the study. The scientific work was conducted in the 2024-2025 academic year at the Moscow State University of Sport and Tourism. The subjects were full-time students aged 17-22, engaged in striking and grappling combat sports at the centre for athletic preparation. The influence of the specialised training was assessed by the endurance coefficient indicators in competitive bouts during the conduct of the formative pedagogical experiment. Results and conclusions. The organisation of the specialised training of combat athletes aged 17-22 in a higher education institution makes it possible to substantially expand the functional capacities of the participants’ cardiovascular system, which is confirmed by an improvement of 2.63 conventional units in the endurance coefficient (EC) indicators after a competitive bout among the athletes of the experimental group during the conduct of the formative pedagogical experiment, in comparison with the athletes of the control group (p<0.05).
