Abstract

Objective of the study is to provide a theoretical rationale for approaches to applying digital technologies in the management of athletes’ instructional and training activity. Methods and structure of the study. The research draws on a methodology for modelling the instructional and training process and for selecting the toolset needed to put the resulting models into practice through a process-based approach. Results and conclusions. A special feature of modern management of the educational and training process is the use of digital technologies in various areas of training. A key challenge here is making optimal use of digital resources, which should be directed at addressing specific, pressing tasks. Within the management of the training process, the aim is to sustain an uninterrupted flow of information throughout the entire management loop. Above all, this calls for the prompt analysis of data generated through comprehensive monitoring and for the use of that information to shape control actions and individual recommendations for the athlete.
