Abstract
Objective of the study is to reveal the mechanisms of the influence of sporting activity on the transformation of conscious choice and to substantiate the necessity of personnel and institutional support of this process. Results and conclusions. The mechanisms of the transformation of conscious choice under the influence of sporting activity were revealed. The key one among them is the transition from external motivation (orientation towards the result, victory, external recognition) to internal motivation (health, self-perception, quality of life). This transition ensures the formation of stable behavioural patterns, including discipline, responsibility, the capacity for goal-setting, reflection and self-regulation, which are subsequently transferred to other spheres of life. A complex of personnel-institutional conditions necessary for the effective realisation of the transformational process was substantiated. Such conditions include: the modernisation of educational programmes for training specialists in the field of physical culture and sport with an orientation towards practice-oriented and interdisciplinary preparation; the provision of comprehensive support of sporting activity (medicine, psychology, recovery, nutrition); the training of personnel for new directions of sporting activity (adaptive sport, sport and tourism); the development and introduction of a system for monitoring the transformational effect of sport on the basis of unified criteria and indicators.
