Abstract
Objective of the study is to determine the structure of athletes’ preparedness in sanda on the basis of factor analysis. Methods and structure of the study. A survey was conducted of 48 athletes specialising in sanda, whose average age was 18±1.17 years, of two weight categories: up to 60.0 kg and up to 63.5 kg. Testing of general and special physical fitness was carried out, indicators of psychophysiological state were determined, and the athletes’ technical and tactical actions in the course of their competitive activity were analysed. Factor analysis was performed using the varimax rotation method with the licensed program IBM SPSS Statistics 29.0. The research was conducted at the Sports Academy of Hainan Normal University, China. Results and conclusion. The factor structure of athletes’ preparedness in sanda was determined. With the greatest weight, which amounted to 47.42% of the total variance of the sample, it included the first factor, ‘the speed-strength component of general physical fitness’. The second most significant was the factor ‘neurodynamic properties’, which makes up 26.51% of the total variance. The third and fourth factors, ‘technical and tactical preparedness’ and ‘special physical fitness’, differ insignificantly in the magnitude of their contribution to the structure of preparedness and amount to 5.22% and 3.52% respectively. This factor structure must be taken into account when constructing the training process, placing emphasis on the development of the leading components of athletes’ preparedness in sanda.
