The aim of the research is to determine the features of the application of game-based tools in the training of young football players.
Methods and organization of the research. The scientific work was carried out based on the analysis of educational and methodological materials on game-oriented tools in football. Active games, special active games, "squares", game exercises with "target scoring", situational exercises, and various formats of training football matches were considered. The analysis took into account the focus of the game-based tools, their pedagogical capabilities, advantages, limitations, and conditions of application in the training process of young football players [1, 2].
Results and discussion. It was established that game-based tools occupy an important place in the training of young football players, as they provide a comprehensive impact on physical qualities, technical actions, and tactical thinking. The main game-oriented tools include active and special active games, "squares", game exercises with "target scoring", situational exercises, and football in various formats from F2×F2 to F11×F11. Their application allows varying motor activity, coordination complexity, and the degree of approximation of the exercise to competitive activities.
Special active games have the greatest pedagogical value, as they combine a high emotional background with solving the tasks of teaching and improving technique and tactics. Their use contributes to the multiple repetition of motor actions in variable conditions, develops attention, initiative, independence, and speed of decision-making.
The effectiveness of game-based tools is determined by their compliance with the age and fitness level of the participants, safety, accessibility of the rules, the ability to regulate the load, and pedagogical control. Their advantages include an increased emotional background, the development of motor activity and game thinking, while the limitations include the risk of injury, difficulties in dosing the load, and the organizational complexity of conducting them. This requires the coach to competently select the content of the games and constantly monitor their implementation.
Conclusion. The study showed that game-based tools are an effective component of young football players' training and allow for the comprehensive solution of tasks related to physical, technical, and tactical improvement. To increase the effectiveness of the training process, it is necessary to apply game-based tools in a differentiated manner, taking into account age, qualification, and specific tasks of the session.
