Abstract

Objective of the study is to identify the individual-psychological features of combat athletes specialising in bouts and in the artistic performance of technical action routines. Methods and structure of the study. The scientific work was based on the structural-level approach of B.F. Lomov, adapted for sports psychology. In accordance with this approach, an assessment of the cognitive, emotional-volitional and psychomotor levels of mental organisation was carried out in 40 athletes aged 18–28. Results and conclusions. Significant differences in the level and structure of interpersonal relationships, self-efficacy and motivational orientations were revealed in representatives of the two specialisations, as well as psychological factors common to both groups, characteristic of combat athletes with a higher level of sporting mastery.
