Abstract

Objective of the study is to identify the individual features of the structural components of the competitive activity of young short-distance female runners. Methods and structure of the study. Using video analysis and photoelectronic timing, the individual features of the structure of competitive activity of short-distance female runners aged 15–17 were determined. The obtained data were subjected to correlation analysis. Results and conclusions. It was established that the informativeness of individual elements of competitive activity in relation to the final result varies substantially among different athletes. The common factors and individual features of the kinematic indicators of technical mastery of short-distance female runners aged 15–17 were determined. It was revealed that the nature of performing the main exercise and its individual elements under competitive conditions, being a comprehensive indicator, reflects a peculiar “synthesis” of the individual features of the athlete and the level of her technical and physical preparedness. The necessity of individualising the training process of a specific runner on the basis of analysis of the structure of her competitive activity was shown.
