Abstract

Objective of the study is to conduct a comparative analysis of the development of adaptive sport in the northern regions of Russia. Methods and structure of the study. Analysis of documents and statistical data on the development of adaptive sport in the northern regions. Results and conclusions. The results obtained indicate that the development of adaptive sport in Russian regions depends significantly on the level of economic development, the employment rate of people with disabilities, transport accessibility and the level of funding. The Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra demonstrates positive results thanks to high economic indicators and active state support. The Republic of Buryatia and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) face more significant challenges, requiring the active mobilisation of state and public resources to create conditions for people with disabilities to participate in sport. The analysis shows that regions with a higher level of economic stability and developed infrastructure demonstrate better results in the development of adaptive sport. However, even in regions facing economic difficulties, active local initiatives and support can significantly improve conditions for people with disabilities and promote their social integration through sport.
