Introduction. The main task in creating and implementing a structural-functional model for the formation of universal values of physical culture and sports among students of a humanities university is to help ensure more efficient use of time and pedagogical resources for teaching, as well as the transfer of historical and sports knowledge.
Objective of the study. To develop a structural-functional model for the formation of universal values of physical culture and sports among students of a humanities university.
Results of the study and discussion. The structural-functional model for the formation of universal values of physical culture and sports among students of a humanities university is presented in the figure.
The clarity, presence of clear interconnections between elements, systematic nature, and integrity of the structural-functional model for the formation of universal values of physical culture and sports among students of a humanities university determine the optimization of the educational process, as it solves a series of important pedagogical tasks, including in the context of implementing educational standards considering the priorities of our country's state policy: optimization of study time usage; use of a historical approach to studying course issues; comprehensiveness in examining phenomena and processes; facilitation of activating students' independent work; measures to optimize the assimilation of educational material; formation of student knowledge and qualities that contribute to the development of a harmoniously developed personality; motivation of students not only for their own harmonious development but also for the transmission and formation of similar motivations in future professional activities.
Conclusion. Thus, the use of the obtained and systematized research results contributed to the formation of universal values of physical culture and sports among students of a humanities university, taking into account the successful integration of the developed curriculum into the process of implementing the discipline "Physical Education" to ensure quality education for future professional personnel.
