Teaching students to overcome obstacle courses in physical culture classes

Objective of the study is to develop, using simulation methods, and to integrate into the educational process obstacle course training sessions for students of conscription age.
Methods and structure of the study. The article examines issues related to preparing students for service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The following research methods were used to address these issues: a literature review, data collection, and mathematical analysis of the research results.
Results and conclusions. The inclusion of obstacle course training sessions in the educational programme for the subject ‘Elective Physical Culture Courses’ for senior-year students not only contributes to the development of their all-round motor activity, but also fosters practical skills and enhances their level of physical fitness.
