The effectiveness of various forms of organization of educational activities in physical education at the university in the elective discipline "Badminton"

Objective of the study is to conduct a comparative analysis of the forms of organising teaching activities: whole-class, group, continuous, pair and individual self-directed learning, as well as to systematise the organisational and methodological conditions that facilitate the implementation of physical education and health-promoting activities in higher education institutions.
Methods and structure of the study. Observations were conducted during badminton training sessions, applying various forms of organising educational activities for 15 minutes in classes for the elective subject ‘Badminton’ with first-year students at Zhengzhou University in Henan Province, China.
Results and conclusions. It has been established that frontal, group, continuous, pair and individual-independent forms create fundamentally different conditions for the implementation of health-promoting and pedagogical objectives within the framework of the ‘Physical Education’ course. This provides a methodological basis for the teacher to select forms of lesson organisation depending on the participants’ level of fitness, material and technical resources, and the educational objectives of the university.
