Introduction. Regular exercise is considered a recognized effective way to improve the health of a young body [1]. This is very important for students who have suffered from any kind of illness during their studies at the university and are in urgent need of effective rehabilitation. Gaming sports continue to arouse great interest among students, including those with different types of pathologies [2].
The purpose of the study is to identify the recreational opportunities of mini-football for students who have suffered a lower limb injury.
Methodology and organization of research. There were 26 young men, full-time students of the 1-2 courses of the university, who suffered a fracture of the bones of one of the lower extremities about a month and a half ago as a result of a domestic injury. All of them underwent medical treatment for the fracture with the restoration of bone integrity. Of these, 12 people started regular, twice a week for an hour, training sessions in the mini-football section. The rest of the boys formed a control group of 14 people who refused to play sports. Both groups were monitored for 4 months with assessment at the beginning and at the end of the study.
The results of the study and their discussion. As a result of regular classes in the mini-football section, students who suffered a leg injury achieved significant positive dynamics in their test results. There have been positive changes in the speed and strength capabilities of those involved in mini-football, while increasing the development of flexibility. The injured people from the control group who remained far from sports did not show any changes in their test results at the end of the study.
Conclusions. Systematic training in the mini-football section contributes to the somatic strengthening of adolescent students who have suffered a leg injury. The results of the study give grounds to recommend mini-football as an option for physical strengthening of students who have suffered an injury.
