Analysis of the implementation of additional general education programmes for recreational sports

Objective of the study is to provide practical evidence of the effectiveness of implementing additional general education programmes in team sports, using volleyball as an example.
Methods and structure of the study. An additional general development programme in volleyball was implemented at School No. 8 in Grozny, aimed at developing the basic physical qualities of primary school pupils. The programme included elements of technical and game training, active and educational ball games, as well as competitive exercises. The study involved students from two parallel 7th grade classes (50 people), whose level of physical fitness at the initial stage did not have statistically significant differences.
Results and conclusions. The experimental group showed a significant positive trend in all tested indicators (p<0.05), corresponding to the transition from the bronze to the silver level of the GTO. In the control group, significant changes were found only for individual indicators. The implementation of an additional general education programme in volleyball based on the school sports club contributes to improving the physical fitness of students and can be recommended for implementation in general education organisations as an additional type of physical activity based on the School Sports Club.
