Objective of the study is to identify the relationship between regulatory mechanisms, functional status, and fitness level of mas-wrestling athletes in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
Methods and structure of the study. The study was conducted at the Centre for Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) State Budgetary Institution ‘Republican Centre for Sports Training of the National Teams of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)’, with the participation of athletes who are members of the national mas-wrestling team of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The Omega-S software and hardware complex was used to assess the functional state and level of training of the mas-wrestlers.
Results and conclusions. Indicators of adaptation to physical exertion, fitness, energy supply, and psycho-emotional state were studied, on the basis of which an integral indicator of fitness was derived, and heart rate variability (HRV) parameters were recorded and analysed: vegetative balance index, stress index, vegetative rhythm index, and adequacy of regulatory processes index.
The predominance of the central regulatory circuit was established, associated with the need for high coordination of movements, which places increased demands on the regulatory systems. The key features of the physical condition and psychomotor skills of mas-wrestlers were studied. The recorded parameters (adaptive potential, level of training and energy supply) were characterised by average values with pronounced interindividual variability.

Keywords: mas-wrestling, heart rate variability, functional study, energy status of the body, adaptation to physical activity, fitness, psycho-emotional stability.
