Objective of the study is to identify key anthropometric and strength indicators that determine the performance of student arm wrestlers, as well as to develop scientifically based recommendations for improving the training process.
Methods and structure of the study. The scientific work was carried out at the physical culture and health complex of the Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy, in which 30 male students participated, divided into two groups: those with more than two years of training experience and beginners. Key physical parameters were studied: height, weight, shoulder and forearm circumference, body mass index, as well as strength indicators (hand grip and deadlift dynamometry).
Results and conclusions. Statistically significant correlations between anthropometric characteristics and hand strength were demonstrated. The most pronounced correlations were found between shoulder circumference (r=0.66), body weight (r=0.53) and strength tests, confirming the importance of developing muscle mass and the morphological structure of the upper shoulder girdle. Regression analysis showed that the combination of anthropometric parameters explains up to 65% of the variability in grip strength, which allows them to be considered reliable predictors of athletic performance. .
