Objective of the study is to improve the quality of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems in post-stroke patients through therapeutic exercises and to increase functional capacity.
Methods and structure of the study. The pedagogical experiment was conducted at the main health resort of the Moscow Region No. 1. The study involved 18 men aged 60-70 who had suffered a stroke. A total of 44 sessions lasting 60 minutes were conducted. Cardiovascular system indicators were assessed based on heart rate, blood pressure, endurance coefficient and adaptive potential. Respiratory function was assessed using the Genchi and Stange test. Physical development was assessed by measuring the patients' body weight, height, and Quetelet index.
Results and conclusions. Heart rate decreased from 77.5 to 72.25 beats per minute. Blood pressure returned to normal. The endurance coefficient increased from 13.5 to 15.7. Adaptive potential changed from 6.17 to 6.03. The Genchi test score improved from 28.75 to 32.9 seconds. The Stange test score increased from 39.75 to 43.2. The Quetelet index improved from 28.03 to 26.21. All indicators showed positive dynamics, but did not have statistically significant differences (p>0.05). At the end of the pedagogical experiment, the indicators showed positive dynamics and returned to normal in most cases. The fact that the indicators did not show significant differences is due to the insufficient duration of the pedagogical experiment and the complexity of the disease; this result confirms the corrective value of the experimental methodology.
