Objective of the study is to test the effectiveness of methods for improving the coordination skills of university students aged 17-18 through the systematic use of volleyball classes as part of the physical education programme.
Methods and structure of the study. The experiment was conducted during the academic year and included a comparative analysis of the results of the control and experimental groups of students. The latter followed a specially designed programme that included game exercises aimed at developing coordination skills, a variety of motor tasks, and training for non-standard situations.
Results and conclusions. The results showed a statistically significant improvement in coordination skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. This confirms the high effectiveness of the proposed methodology.
Based on the data obtained, it is recommended that the developed programme be introduced into physical education practice in universities as a means of comprehensive development of students' motor skills.
