Objective of the study is to substantiate the ontology of interdisciplinary positivism in the development of research areas in the field of physical culture and sport.
Results and conclusions. The current stage of social development is characterised by a move beyond narrow disciplinary boundaries through the integration of knowledge and research methods from different subject areas in order to solve complex social problems. The interconnectedness of different fields of knowledge has led to the emergence of interdisciplinary positivism, driven by the need to gain a complete and objective understanding of phenomena, taking into account the multipolarity of the real world. Many studies in the field of physical culture and sport are usually conducted at the intersection of scientific disciplines, so the methodological apparatus is borrowed from the accumulated baggage of scientific ontology. Thus, the synthesis of knowledge of sports science and other scientific disciplines is realised on the basis of the conjugate formation of a unified methodology of a common conceptual apparatus.
