Objective of the study is to experimentally prove the effectiveness of an inclusive approach in the training process in artistic gymnastics.
Methods and structure of the study. The experimental study was conducted at the gym of the Chelyabinsk Artistic Gymnastics Federation, in which 48 girls with mild intellectual disabilities took part. The age of the experiment participants was 10-12 years. The control group consisted of 14 girls with intellectual disabilities, who trained in a separate, specialized group, without the participation of peers, without disabilities. The experimental group also included 14 girls with similar developmental features, but they trained in mixed groups together with healthy children, that is, in an inclusive education environment. The curriculum for both groups was identical and included the performance of a basic set of exercises on the apparatus of artistic gymnastics all-around (uneven bars, balance beam, vault, floor exercises).
Results and conclusions. The program of classes was developed for a period of 16 weeks, which included three interconnected and consistently implemented stages. The first stage was of an introductory and adaptive nature. The second stage was focused on the targeted development of physical qualities (strength, flexibility, agility, speed and endurance), as well as the formation of basic motor skills and skills in performing gymnastic exercises, the duration was 8 weeks. The third stage was aimed at complicating motor activity and included the study of gymnastic connections and combinations of elements, which contributed to the development of coordination, rhythm and expressiveness of movements, the duration was 4 weeks. At this stage, the participants of the experimental group demonstrated more pronounced positive dynamics in physical fitness indicators compared to children studying in a separate (specialized) group. This indicates that classes in a mixed group create favorable conditions for additional motivation, increased self-confidence and the desire to achieve higher results.
