Objective of the study is to develop an analytical model for diagnosing motivational factors and conditions for the inclusion of student youth in sports and patriotic activities through historical and cultural education (based on materials from the city of Yelets and its historical surroundings).
Methods and structure of the study. A survey-diagnostics of the most creative and effective models of sports and patriotic events, in which students of higher and secondary vocational education of Yelets participated, was conducted using the telegram channel.
Results and conclusions. The article reveals the relationship between the historical and cultural heritage of Russia and the physical, spiritual and moral education of young people. The motivational factors for the inclusion of student youth in sports and patriotic activities through historical and cultural education (based on the materials of Yelets and its historical district) are identified and characterized: health protection, game and sports-competitive focus of events, activity-based approach (involving young people in the development and organization of historical, cultural and sports-patriotic projects).
