Introduction. Modern research has established that in the process of physical education of future specialists of the humanitarian profile, special attention should be paid to strengthening the static endurance of the muscular corset.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effect of statodynamic exercises on increasing the indicators of static endurance.
Research methodology and organization. The experimental work of the 2023-2024 academic year was carried out at the Department of Physical Education of the State Social University of Kolomna, which was attended by 39 second-year students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages. The pedagogical experiment used test exercises: maintaining the body position in the "plank" position; squatting with a delay in the middle point; and holding the legs in a 90-degree angle on the шведской стенке. The time of maintaining this position was used as an indicator. The differences in the test results of the degree of preparedness at the beginning of the experimental work of the academicians were not statistically identified (p<0.05). The specificity of physical education classes for the experimental subgroup consisted of a combination of dynamic and static exercises within 12-20 minutes in the final part of the class. The following exercises were implemented for the effectiveness of methodological support: squats with a delay in the middle position; raising the right/left leg with a delay in the upper position; maintaining the body in a lying position on the elbows; side plank with support on the right/left knee; maintaining the glute bridge position.
Research results and their discussion. According to the results of the screening of second-year students, there was an increase in the static tension indicators of the experimental subgroup. In comparison with the control group, the time of maintaining the body in the "plank" position in the experimental subgroup increased by 24.2 seconds. By the end of the second year, the squat position with a delay improved by 6 seconds on average and reached 26.3 seconds. In addition to the positive dynamics of static endurance, which directly affects the success of foreign language teachers in their work, it was noted that the students in the experimental subgroup became more productive in their studies. The average academic performance of the students in the control subgroup was 4.1 points. In contrast, the average academic performance of the students in the experimental subgroup was 4.8 points.
Conclusion. The analysis of the work done indicates a tendency towards the progress of static endurance of the experimental subgroup. The introduction of isometric exercises in the physical culture practice of students of the humanitarian direction will allow to increase the professional training of future specialists.
