Introduction. Sport as a sphere of socio-cultural activity is the humanistic basis for the enculturation of the individual and a key condition for the socialisation of the personality. The content of the social component of students' sports culture (hereinafter referred to as SCS) is qualitatively revealed in socio-cultural competence (hereinafter referred to as SCC), which ensures the socialisation and enculturation of the individual as an active subject of the integration of educational and sports activities [1-3].
The aim of the study is to theoretically develop and experimentally substantiate the effectiveness of the methodology for developing SSCSP in the process of integrating educational and sports activities.
Methodology and organisation of the study: The methodology for developing SSCSP includes a set of meta-subject socio-cultural and problem-solving educational tasks aimed at forming SC. To determine the level of development of SKSKLS, O.V. Kononov's methodology for assessing the formation of a complex of socio-cultural competencies in sports and humanities disciplines was modified.
Research results and discussion: At the beginning of the experiment, no statistically significant differences in the level of development of SKSKLS were found in the EG and CG subjects. At the end of the experiment, the SKSKLS in the CG remained at an average level of development. At the same time, the EG showed a high (creative) level of SKSKLS development in accordance with the results of the point-based rating system for assessing the formation of the following universal socio-cultural competencies (hereinafter referred to as SK): SC orientation (the ability to accept oneself as part of a sports team); SC learnability (the ability to acquire knowledge, skills and experience of constructive cooperation in a team); SC good manners (the ability to follow the norms and rules of sports behaviour); SC communicativeness (the ability to establish interpersonal relationships in the sports community); SC activity (the ability to consciously participate in sports); SC position (the ability to express personal opinions in the sports community); SC status (the ability to be aware of one's rights and obligations in accordance with one's social position in society).
Conclusions. Thus, the results of the study testify to the effectiveness of the methodology for developing SKSKLS, which broadens the prospects for sociological research and the implementation of socio-cultural functions in the field of integrating educational and sports activities.
