Introduction. Currently, the digitalisation of education is an integral part of the daily training of future specialists in various professional fields and is gradually changing the educational environment, teaching methods and techniques, and the roles of teachers and students. Does this mean that traditional teaching methods should be completely abandoned? How can the digitalisation of education be implemented in a sports university for the effective training of future specialists? It seems relevant to consider the directions in which the transformation of the digitalisation of education in sports universities can take place.
The aim of the study is to identify the directions of transformation of the digitalisation of education in sports universities.
Research results and discussion. The digitalisation of education is the process of integrating digital technologies into the educational process: these can be online platforms, virtual classrooms, interactive aids and resources, and the automation of administrative processes. The main goal of the digitalisation of education is to make it more accessible, effective and individualised.
‘The new digital reality and the latest technologies raise the question of how well the current Russian education system meets the needs of the times, whether university graduates are able to meet these needs and solve new problems in the era of the fourth industrial revolution’ [1]. The digitalisation of education is designed to ensure the high-quality training of future specialists in line with modern realities.
For example, the transition to distance learning has demonstrated the advantages of innovative technologies over traditional methods of education. This advantage was that students were able to satisfy their educational needs in the most comfortable way without being present in the classroom.
However, distance learning is not without its drawbacks, some of which include: a reduction in the role of teachers; a decrease in student socialisation, etc.
The training of future specialists in sports universities cannot be carried out without active collaboration between teachers and students, without the formation of the moral character of the student. Within the framework of the educational process at sports universities, humanities knowledge and social and humanitarian disciplines contribute to the improvement of personal qualities, the formation of healthy worldviews, and the awareness of future specialists [2].
Conclusion. Digital transformation as a whole can make education more accessible and comfortable. Thus, the study revealed that in sports universities, the digitalisation of education is taking place in the following areas of transformation: first, the continuous development and improvement of digital competencies among teachers and students; second, the integration of traditional and digital technologies; third, active collaboration between teachers and students; fourth, the digitalisation of education cannot be carried out solely within the framework of technology as a means of transferring knowledge without taking into account and shaping the morality of students.
