Formation of readiness of the future teacher for professional activity in the digital environment by means of case technologies (on the example of training of specialists in physical education)

Objective of the study was to theoretical justification of the effectiveness of case technologies used in the formation of digital competencies of future physical education teachers.
Methods and structure of the study. A comparative analysis of terminology related to case methods was conducted: the differences between the concepts of «case technology» (as a teaching tool) and «case study» (as a research approach) were clarified.
Results and conclusions. The authors offer their own interpretation of these categories, emphasizing that the basis of any pedagogical case should be a problem situation reflecting the real challenges of the digital environment. A classification of cases for future teachers has been developed, the stages of the teachers work from designing cases to organizing discussions and evaluating the results have been defined. Particular attention is paid to the principles of content selection: connection with the Federal State Educational Standard, taking into account interdisciplinarity. Prospects for the work are related to the integration of artificial intelligence into the development of personalized cases.
