A synergetic model of the balance of virtual and physical activity of adolescents in the digital age

Objective of the study was to develop and theoretically substantiate a synergetic model of the balance of virtual and physical activity of adolescents aged 12–18 in the context of the digital transformation of society.
Methods and structure of the study. Based on the analysis of WHO data and pilot testing in a sports school (N=60), a model is proposed that integrates five functional blocks: educational and methodological, motivational and stimulating, regulatory and infrastructural, diagnostic and adaptive, and sociocultural. The model is implemented through educational programs, gamification, digital monitoring tools, and cultural practices. The study used literature analysis, questionnaires, and qualitative data assessment methods.
Results and conclusions. Interim results of the model testing showed a 15-20% decrease in screen time and a 20-30% increase in physical activity. The key mechanisms of operation are a positive feedback loop, dynamic activity planning, and content symmetry. A positive feedback loop creates motivation through the relationship between digital and physical achievements. Dynamic planning ensures personalization of the activity schedule, taking into account biorhythms, study load and seasonal factors. Content symmetry offers physical exercise programs that correspond to the time spent on digital devices. The model helps to form a sustainable motivation for a healthy lifestyle, reducing the risks of physical inactivity and digital burnout. The model is being tested, which will allow us to clarify its effectiveness on an expanded sample.
