Objective of the study was to experimentally substantiate the use of digital technologies in the process of physical education of students.
Methods and structure of the study. The experiment was carried out at the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the National Research University «Moscow Power Engineering Institute», Moscow. It was attended by 174 students (159 men and 15 women) of 1st-3rd year full-time students aged 18 to 21 years. The experiment consisted of 3 stages. The study used the Strava mobile running application, which tracks running and/or walking parameters. The training program included: running and (or) walking at a predetermined pace in accordance with the medical health group and gender of distance learning participants. At the end of the study, a survey of distance learning participants was conducted.
