The moral qualities of the personality of students involved in sports are regulated by the Code of Professional Ethics of Athletes in the system of ethical and regulatory regulation of sports behavior [1, 2]. The content of the ethical component of students' sports culture (hereinafter referred to as EXCS) is revealed in relation to those aspects of sports activity that have priority value and semantic significance for the individual [3].
The purpose of the study is to theoretically develop and experimentally substantiate the effectiveness of the EXCS development methodology in the process of forming a value-semantic orientation to sports activities.
Methodology and organization of the study. The methodology of the development of EXCS includes in its content a set of value-semantic tasks aimed at actualizing the positive value attitude of students to the institutionalization of the principle of the Fair Play movement as a cultural basis for the formation of professional ethics of athletes. To determine the level of development of the EXCS, we have developed a modified version of the ranking method of M. Rokich with the calculation of the index of realizability of individual characteristics of the value-semantic sphere of personality in relation to sports activities.
The results of the study and their discussion. At the beginning of the experiment, the subjects had KG and There were no significant differences in the criteria and indicators of the development of ECS. At the end of the experiment in KG, the level of development of EXCS remained at an average (sufficient) level, at the same time in EG marked a high (significant) level of development of EXCS. In accordance with the principles of the Fair Play movement, the following values of professional ethics of an athlete have acquired high value and semantic significance in EG: fair competition, equality of chances, intolerance to doping, respect for rivals, partners and fans, compliance with competition rules, respect for the decisions of judges, solidarity and support, friendship and peace between competitors, athlete's self-control, improvement of humanistic qualities.
Conclusion. Thus, the results of the study indicate the effectiveness of the methodology for the development of sports based on the implementation of value and semantic orientations in the process of sports activity, which creates optimal conditions for the formation of higher ethical feelings such as patriotism, sporting dignity, sporting valor and honor.
