Introduction. Physical performance depends on the number of included motor units (neuromotor units) of muscles, which is carried out by motor motor neurons of the anterior horns of the spinal cord. In turn, the number of motor neurons involved in the work is determined by the tone of the neurons of the cerebral cortex, which forms the dominant. The dominant of A. A. Ukhtomsky is an increased brain tone aimed at achieving a goal [1, 2].
The purpose of the study is to determine the physical performance of students for the maximum number of push–ups from the floor before and after the suggestion of an increase in strength (the formation of a dominant force).
Methodology and organization of the study. 144 students (girls and boys) of the 1-2 courses participated in the experiment. The maximum number of push-ups in one group of students from the floor was recorded in the control and after imperative suggestion of an increase in physical strength and an increase in the desire of students to do push-ups. The suggestion of strength in students allowed to form a dominant force, which provided a greater concentration of will to perform push-ups in students.
The results of the study and their discussion. It is shown that the average number of push-ups among students (144 students) was 22.5 times. 10 minutes after the first push-ups (see table), students were inspired to increase strength and increase the desire to do push-ups, the number of push-ups among students significantly increased to 28.2 times (p <0.01). The results of the study show that even a single suggestion of increasing the strength and desire to do push-ups significantly changes the tone of the neurons of the cerebral cortex, where the dominant of Academician A. A. Ukhtomsky is formed [2], as achieving the goal of increasing the number of push-ups among students.
Conclusions. The results of the study showed that the dominant increase in strength in students is formed immediately after the suggestion of an increase in strength. Due to the circulation of excitation in the neurons of the cerebral cortex in the form of the dominant of Academician A. A. Ukhtomsky, the increased efficiency of students is realized. The mechanisms of formation of the dominant force increase revealed by us allow us to make the assumption that clear and specific suggestions before the practical lesson, achieved during the lesson by students, can significantly increase the effectiveness of practical classes.
