Introduction. High achievements in dance sports at the present stage are impossible without an objective assessment of the physical, technical and functional fitness of dance couples, without taking into account the physiological mechanisms and patterns of control of the motor actions of dancers.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the criterion of performing skills in dance sports, which allows to optimally identify the level of technical preparedness of dancers.
Methodology and organization of the study. Technical mastery includes an assessment of such indicators as the quality of movements and elements, movement to music, the relationship between male and female dancers, as well as choreography and performance.
The results of the study and their discussion. In addition to the rational technique of performing dance figures, artistry, musicality, rhythmicity, emotionality of dance performance have a considerable influence on the effective sports activity of dancers. That is why sports dancing combines the features inherent in choreographic art and sports.
A unified control system in sports dancing, which would take into account the assessment of dancing techniques, is just being formed. It was revealed that the control of technical readiness when performing a dance program should take into account a large number of components: the relative location of the body links, the specifics of the athlete's body weight distribution, the pace and rhythm of each dance, synchronicity, coordination, presentation, dynamics and integrity of the dance [1].
Within the framework of technical readiness as a criterion for evaluating performance skills, judges evaluate choreography and performance. These indicators include both the content, the level of complexity, and the possession of space. Well-thought-out choreography allows a dance couple to interpret the dance as best as possible, emphasize the qualities and hide possible technical shortcomings.
For judges, all the main criteria are similar in nature. As part of the criterion of technical readiness, the most important indicators are the position and posture of the dancing couple. At the same time, it affects the correct leadership in a couple, and is also most noticeable from an aesthetic point of view. Specific indicators are of the least importance in the assessment of technical readiness. Obviously, at the first stage, the judges want the dance couples to meet the basic criteria, such as posture, basic actions and basic principles [2].
Also important are the indicators of strength abilities and flexibility, when assessing technical readiness in competitive dance programs.
Conclusion. Of great importance is the compatibility of partners, which concerns many factors: anthropometric indicators, the level of development of physical qualities, coordination abilities. Therefore, it is important for dancers to focus on the basic requirements of technique, movement to music, the relationship of the dancer with the dancer, choreography and performance.
The analysis of dance sports has shown that a unified system for evaluating performance skills, which would take into account the assessment of technical readiness, is just being formed.
