Objective of the study was to evaluate the influence of hygienic factors of the training process on the functional state of the body and health indicators of high-class athletes of speed-strength sports–representatives of weightlifting and powerlifting.
Methods and structure of the study. The experiment was carried out in the gyms of the School of Higher Sportsmanship in Ufa and the Bashkir Institute of Physical Culture (a branch of UralSUPC). 31 powerlifting athletes were examined, men aged 18-25 years, with the qualification of a candidate for master of sports, master of sports and master of sports of international class. As a control group, students of the Faculty of Physical Education without higher sports titles, engaged in physical culture, were examined.
Results and conclusions. As the results of the study showed, the high severity of work of powerlifting athletes, belonging to class 3.3., requires special measures for the prevention, rehabilitation of health disorders and additional measures for their social protection.
A decrease in the indicators of adaptation of the organism of powerlifting athletes compared with the control group may cause a deterioration in their health in the future.
The lower level of health in powerlifting of the surveyed highly qualified athletes compared to the control group indicates the adverse effect of increased physical activity on the body of powerlifters.
