Objective of the study was to assess changes in the requirements for professional training of bachelors in the field of physical culture and sports in the People's Republic of China.
Methods and structure of the study. Theoretical analysis were subjected to the standards of professional training of specialists in the field of physical culture and sports, to meet the needs of the country's economic and social development. An assessment was made of changes in the catalog of disciplines for undergraduate studies at universities of physical culture and sports, starting from 1963 to 2023.
Results and conclusions. At present, in the PRC, the development and implementation of a national standard for teaching and training bachelors in the field of physical culture and sports in higher educational institutions is a fundamental, strategic task for the long-term development and training of bachelors in the field of physical education in China. The solution to this problem is aimed at regulating vocational education, comprehensively promoting and deepening professional reform in the undergraduate system, and further improving the quality of training sports teachers in the PRC.
The Standard for the preparation of bachelors in the field of physical culture and sports defines special requirements that university graduates completing a bachelor's degree must meet.
