Objective of the study was to assess the health status of astenized children with low physical activity.
Methods and structure of the study. The observation was made on 25 children aged 11-12 with asthenia after an acute viral infection (experimental group). The control group consisted of 20 healthy children 11-12 years old. The children included in both groups had weak physical activity. Standard tests for assessing physical development were used and statistical processing of the results obtained was performed. The survey was conducted at baseline and six months later.
Results and conclusions. After six months of observation in children of the experimental group, there was a transition to a state of imbalance between sympathetic and parasympathetic activity, with the former prevailing. In asthenized children, there was an increase in the weight-to-height ratio, leading to the development of excess body weight. They noted intense adaptation of the cardiovascular system. The performed assessment of the physical status made it possible to establish a tendency for the development of various dysfunctions in asthenized children with low muscle activity. In this regard, asthenized children are in dire need of regular dosed physical activity to ensure their overall recovery.
