Introduction. In modern socio-economic conditions, the mechanisms for implementing programs of additional vocational education, retraining and advanced training courses in physical culture are characterized by the mobility of educational content, which is a stable factor in the development and improvement of the quality of programs. Successful development of DPO programs actualizes the solution of a number of economic, psychological, socio-humanitarian, innovative problems [1].
The purpose of the study is to determine the factors of improving the quality of programs of additional professional education in physical culture in the conditions of a university.
Methodology and organization of the study. In the course of scientific work, the analysis of programs of additional professional education in the areas of retraining "Physical culture and sport" 540 hours and "Physical culture and sport in the system of general education" 270 hours, and advanced training courses in the period 2015-2022 of the Faculty of Physical Culture of the Russian State Social University was carried out. As part of the study, a survey was conducted of 400 students who completed additional vocational training (DPO) at the faculty in the period 2015-2022.
The results of the study and their discussion. Theoretical analysis and a survey of students allowed us to identify factors that increase the demand for advanced training and retraining programs in physical culture and sports:
1. Improving the efficiency and quality of classes. The monitoring of the quality of classes revealed that the completely remote format hinders the acquisition of practical competencies and is applicable in terms of mastering theoretical sections and modules of programs. Thus, 62% of students are ready in a mixed, hybrid format, with methodological support, to master the program on an individual trajectory of professional development.
2. Cognitive vector of activity. To implement additional professional programs and methodological support for the educational process, new models of the cognitive environment are being developed, specific content, cases, digital platforms, etc. are being created.
3. Knowledge quality management. The criteria for evaluating the transforming system of additional vocational education are determined by the search for a methodology for evaluating the results of non-formal and informal education, the development of forms of mentoring, patronage and counseling.
4. Technologization of the educational process. Programs for improving digital competence and digital literacy are in demand for various categories of students. The development and implementation of digital education systems at different levels and organizations implementing DPO is determined by market requirements and infrastructural features.
Conclusions. Within the framework of the scientific research, the factors of development and improvement of the quality of additional professional education programs in the field of physical culture in the conditions of a university are identified, organizational and pedagogical problems of retraining qualified personnel are identified.
