Improving the professional-applied physical training of students in a creative university, taking into account the assessment of their health status

Objective of the study was to determine the content of professionally applied physical training of students in a creative university, taking into account the assessment of their health status.
Methods and structure of the study. The analysis of the state of health of 1st year students of the specialty "Film and Television Directing" of the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television was carried out on the basis of the results of an in-depth medical examination. The level of physical fitness was determined by the results of test tests according to seven control standards. Also, a survey of students was conducted to determine their attitude to physical education and, in particular, to professional-applied physical training. Taking into account the results of students' health assessment and questioning, complexes of professional-applied physical training were developed and introduced into the educational process.
Results and conclusions. Taking into account the results of the analysis of the state of health of students of a creative university, as well as their preferences in the means of physical activity, the content of professionally applied physical training was determined, which is aimed at achieving the required level of physical fitness based on the priority development of motor skills and abilities that are individually significant for professional activity. Based on the results of the survey, the variability of possible forms of physical activity, taking into account gender differences and needs, makes it possible to overcome the lack of motivation among students to engage in physical education during their studies at the university.
