Introduction. Neurohymnastics is a set of exercises aimed at developing and strengthening the functions of the central nervous system [2]. The basis of the therapeutic and training action of neurohymnastics is the functional stabilization of the corpus callosum by activating and synchronizing the work of the cerebral hemispheres, which allows you to develop not only cognitive capabilities, but also coordination abilities, the speed of reaction to external stimuli. For representatives of game sports, the relevance of the search for new means of developing coordination and speed abilities is a priority area of scientific support of the training process [1].
The purpose of the study is to develop and experimentally substantiate a methodology for the development of coordination and speed abilities of young football players.
Methodology and organization of the study. The study involved 56 football players aged 6-8 years. To determine the effectiveness of the use of neurohymnastics to improve the coordination abilities and reaction speed of athletes, they were divided into two groups: the study group (30 people) and the control group (26 people). Athletes of the study group for 8 months were engaged in a specially developed training program, which included neurogymnastical exercises recommended for children 6-8 years old, namely: "step to develop coordination"; "step with sticks"; "cross steps"; "double scribbles" and "lazy eight". These exercises were integrated into the training system and performed for 10-15 minutes 3 times a week. The football players of the control group continued training with the same frequency as the athletes of the study group, according to the standard program. Before and after the study, all participants underwent diagnostics of coordination abilities, the state of the vestibular apparatus and reaction speed using a stabilometric platform and a Witty SEM/ Change Direction type test system.
The results of the study and their discussion. According to the results of the study, it can be stated that coordination indicators improved by 20% in the study group, by 9% in the control group. Probably, a significant improvement in the indicators of coordination abilities in the football players of the studied group is associated with the positive influence of neurohymnastics on the work of the vestibular apparatus, the development of physiological abilities to perform asymmetric and symmetrical movements. In addition, athletes who used a complex of neurohymnastics during training, the speed of a simple visual-motor reaction increased by 18%. There was no significant increase in reaction speed among the control group players.
Conclusion. The use of neurohymnastics is a simple, affordable and very effective means of developing the physical abilities of primary school children and can be used at the stage of initial training.
