Introduction. The effectiveness of the competitive activity of a visually impaired football player in Paralympic football is due to the high level of development of his physical qualities and the ability to make managerial decisions.
The purpose of the study is to develop a sports training program for the preparatory period of highly qualified athletes specializing in 5x5 (B1) mini-football - the sport of the blind.
Methodology and organization of the study. The program is designed for 17 weeks (17 microcycles) and is divided into general preparatory and special preparatory stages.
The results of the study and their discussion. The general preparation stage consisted of a retracting mesocycle lasting two microcycles and a basic mesocycle lasting five microcycles. The objectives of the general preparatory stage were to increase the level of physical fitness, improve all the physical qualities necessary for blind football players to form the foundation of physical and technical-tactical readiness for more successful implementation of the tasks of the next stage, as well as mastering the apparatus of individual ONU without a ball and with a ball.
The special preparatory stage consisted of two basic mesocycles, lasting five microcycles each. The tasks of the special preparatory stage were: stabilization of the volume of training load and redistribution of training hours to improve applied (competitive) physical fitness and increase intensity due to technical and tactical training, improvement of this type of preparedness by including orientation and guidance instructions for the organization of attacking and defensive group and team actions, draws of standard positions (corner, penalty, 6‑ and 8‑meter strikes).
Conclusion. The experimental program of sports training of highly qualified athletes in mini-football 5x5 (B1) – sport of the blind is aimed at achieving a high level of coordination development by players, improving the ability to adequately respond to situations that suddenly arise during the game, as well as the ability to make appropriate decisions that ensure the result of the implementation of the technical and tactical potential of the athlete in competitive activity.
