Sports aerobics model for elective physical education of children: benefit analysis

Abstract
Objective of the study was to test and analyze benefits of a sports aerobics model for elective physical education of the 9-10-year-olds.
Methods and structure of the study. We used the following methods: analysis of the relevant theoretical and practical study reports; legal and regulatory framework analysis; training process monitoring; questionnaire surveys; timekeeping; progress tests including WAM (well-being, activity, mood) tests; and the standard mathematical statistics method for the test data processing. We sampled for the study the 9-10-year-old girls (n=35) trained in the sports aerobics groups at Choreography Studio "Pa Synthesis" in Nizhnevartovsk city of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug–Yugra in 2018-2021.
Results and conclusion. The sports aerobics model testing experiment showed it being beneficial as it helps efficiently design and manage physical trainings by varying the time, intensity and elementary motor/ total workloads in the training sessions. sports aerobics trainings may be particularly beneficial for the children’s leisure-time physical activation initiatives.
