Factors that effect research skills building in physical education university master’s students

Objective of the study was to specify and structure the conditions for the formation of research skills in physical education university master’s students.
Methods and structure of the study. During the study, a survey technique was developed, which represented a modification of the methodology for the study of the master’s degree program at physical education universities. Subject to the questionnaire survey were 99 master’s students. The results of the questionnaire and theoretical analysis of the scientific sources revealed various qualities, factors, and conditions that, one way or another, affect the results of research activities. These factors were then grouped and structured through a factor analysis using the Statistica application software.
Results and conclusions. The study enabled to identify six factors that influence the results of research activities and are key to the formation of research skills. The factor analysis of the data obtained, in a qualitative approach, makes it possible to obtain consistent results, expand the scope of the subject under study, look at the problem from a different perspective, and complement the theoretical knowledge.
