Objective of the study was to conduct a biomechanical analysis to design a take-off technique optimization model applicable to elite ski jumpers.
Methods and structure of the study. The educational experiment was run at the Federal Training Center for Winter Sports "Snezhinka" named after A.A. Danilov at FSBEI HE Tchaikovsky State Institute of Physical Culture from November 2018 through April 2020. Subject to the experiment were the elite ski jumpers, members of the Russian national ski jumping team.
Results and conclusions. The experimental model of optimization of the take-off technique in ski jumping consists of five blocks: conceptual, organizational-substantive, diagnostic, procedural, and control. The biomechanical analysis of the take-off technique helped identify errors and reasons for deviation from the model characteristics in terms of the asymmetry index and type of tensodynamogram.

Keywords: model, take-off technique, biomechanical analysis, ski jumping.
