Introduction. The level of physical development is determined by a set of methods based on measurements of morphological and functional characteristics [3, 4]. There are basic and additional anthropometric indicators [1, 2]. The first include body length, body weight, and chest circumference.
The aim of the study was to identify gender differences in somatometric and physiological parameters in adolescents of the Slavic and Adyghe national groups.
Methodology and organization of the study. Measurements of body length and weight, proper and current heart rate, wrist circumference, and biacromial size were performed. Adolescents of the Slavic group living in the following cities were examined: Labinsk-57 people (average age 13.46±0.25), Yessentuki-35 people (average age 13.24+0.75); adolescents of the Adyghe national group living in the city of Adygeisk-40 people (average age 13.3±0.15), in the village. Yablonovsky – 26 people (average age 13.75±0.45). The calculations were carried out according to the formula Sheikh-Zade DCHSS=48* (p / t), where p is height, m is body weight.
The results of the study and their discussion. The conducted statistical analysis in adolescents of the Slavic and Adyghe national groups revealed significant differences in the values of the current heart rate (97.5±0.75 and 73.25±0.52 beats / min, respectively), body weight (51.6±1.25 and 55.66±0.75), body surface area (15180±0.15 and 14913±-2.24 cm 2).
Conclusions. Differences in the current number of heartbeats, body weight, and body surface area were found in adolescents belonging to the Slavic and Adyghe national groups: the indicators were higher in adolescents of the Slavic national group.
