Classification of footballers’ motor actions by example of distribution of accelerations and decelerations during match

Objective of the study was to analyze the acceleration-deceleration distribution dynamics during a football match.
Methods and structure of the study. The study included an analysis of 28 qualifiers and European Championship games played in the period from 2019 to 2019 with the participation of 195 players of the Russian national teams aged 16-23 years. The Wimu Pro tracking system (Realtrack Systems, Spain) was used to evaluate the footballers’ motor actions.
Results and conclusions. Motor activity in football is characterized by high variability. The in-depth analysis of footballers’ activity makes it possible to distinguish between two types of movements: accelerations and decelerations. In percentage terms, the acceleration-deceleration distribution for different match intervals was as follows: 1) 13.1% reduction in the number of accelerations and 12.2% reduction in the number of decelerations at the end of the first half (30-45 min), as compared to the initial interval (0-15 min); 2) 8.8% reduction in the number of accelerations and 5.1% reduction in the number of decelerations between the start of the second half (45-60 min) and the end of the match (75-90 min); 3) 19% reduction in the number of accelerations and 13.5% reduction in the number of decelerations between the start (0-15 min) and the end of the match (75-90 min). Every 15 minutes, there is a gradual increase in the amount of walking and a simultaneous decrease in the amount of jogging, which leads to the change in the rest interval intensity (from active to passive rest) and allows maintaining maximum acceleration.
Footballers’ motor actions are divided into accelerations and decelerations as the main movement types. During the match, the number of accelerations and decelerations is reduced while their maximum values are maintained, at the same time, the amount of walking is increased and that of jogging is decreased.
