Introduction. In competitive fights, the so-called "explosive force"must be displayed during throws. The question of the development of speed and strength abilities in deaf SAMBO athletes is still relevant, since many abilities of athletes with this nosology have a heterogeneous formation and may lag behind, unlike healthy peers.
The purpose of the study is to develop exercises that promote the development of speed and strength abilities.
Methodology and organization of the study. To develop and evaluate the speed and strength abilities of deaf SAMBO athletes, a pedagogical experiment was conducted on the basis of the Ivanovo correctional boarding school No. 1.
The results of the study and their discussion. During the pedagogical experiment from January to April 2017, the assessment of speed and strength abilities in the entrance and control tests was carried out using the following tests: "Long jump from a standing position", "Long jump from a running start", "Throwing a medic ball with two hands from behind the head" (weight 5 kg). The study was conducted in a group of primary training of deaf SAMBO athletes aged 12-14 years.
The training process among the deaf SAMBO athletes included exercises with the predominant development of speed and strength abilities, such as long and high jumps from a standing position, walking with a "goose step", performing a low start, accelerating by 30 m, throwing a medic ball (weight 5 kg), exercise "Wheelbarrow", exercise "Crocodile". At each training session, additional time was devoted to the development of these abilities, the number of approaches and repetitions varied depending on the capabilities of deaf athletes. It must be said that making throws in the rack, performing turns in the stalls, leaving holds in addition to the technical execution of techniques also requires the manifestation of speed and power abilities, which, of course, influenced their development.
In the course of the control test on the development of speed and strength abilities, the following results were obtained: in the long jump from a standstill, an average increase of 5 cm, in the long jump from a run-up, a positive trend was also noted, but not so significant-1.5 cm, in the medic ball throwing (weight 5 kg), the improvement in the result was 2.7 m.
Conclusion. Purposeful education of speed-power abilities allows you to promote their development, as evidenced by the increase in results in all control standards. In addition, in training and competitive fights of deaf SAMBO wrestlers, it is extremely important to use "explosive force" when performing throws, as this allows you to perform a technical action more effectively and achieve success in a competitive match.
