Abstract
Objective of the study was to theoretically substantiate and develop the program-methodical content of physical training of primary schoolchildren by means of dancesport.
Methods and structure of the study. The program-methodical content of physical training of primary schoolchildren was developed based on the analysis of the scientific and methodological literature on the subject: programs, teacher editions, textbooks, methodological recommendations, articles, etc. We also analyzed the current dancesport programs for children and youth in educational institutions of different types and ranks. The analysis enabled to systematize the educational and scientific material, highlight the main informative ideas and directions, and form the innovative content of the program of physical training of modern primary schoolchildren by means of dancesport.
The program was presented to the Krasnoyarsk physical education teachers working with the primary schoolchildren. These teachers had been primarily trained in the basics of teaching dancesport at school. A pilot experiment was conducted in one of the schools of Krasnoyarsk. The positive results of the experiment made it possible to involve other schools and further design dancesport practices for primary schoolchildren.
Results and conclusions. The pilot experiment showed good results, which was reflected in the improvement of overall endurance, speed-strength qualities, coordination abilities, mobility of the locomotor system; improvement of the posture, manner of walking and, in general, culture of movements. All this suggests that it is necessary to implement dancesport in the educational process at schools, as well as train specialists – "Dancesport Teachers" – at physical education universities.

Keywords: dancesport, program, primary schoolchildren, physical education, physical qualities.
