Objective of the study was to improve the effectiveness of control of student basketball players on the basis of scales of differentiated assessment of individual typological features of higher nervous activity and sensorimotor functions of athletes.
Methods and structure of the study. The study involved 34 student basketball players aged 20±1.34 years, with 5±0.48 years of sports experience. At the time of the psychophysiological testing, the student athletes were apparently healthy according to the results of the medical examination; they gave their written consent to participate in the examination. The "Diagnost-1" software (N.V. Makarenko, V.C. Lizogub) helped obtain the data on individual typological features of higher nervous activity and sensorimotor functions of the basketball players, such as latency time of the simple and complex visual-motor reactions, errors in the processing of information of different complexity, minimum signal exposure time and minimum exposure period in determining the level of functional mobility and strength of the nervous processes. The study was carried out at the premises of Shenzhen University (Shenzhen, China).
Results and conclusion. We determined the indicators of the neurodynamic functions of the student athletes and processed them using the mathematical-statistical methods for data processing to develop differentiated assessment scales. The calculations were based on the use of sigmoid scales according to V.M. Zatsiorsky. The developed 5-point rating scales introduced into Shenzhen University (China) contributed to the improvement of the effectiveness of both operational and ongoing monitoring of student basketball players during the training process.
