Physical rehabilitation of middle-aged women with hypertensive disease

Objective of the study was to improve the effectiveness of physical rehabilitation of the 50-55 year-old females with hypertensive disease during the outpatient treatment.
Methods and structure of the study. The study was carried out on the basis of the FSBI "National Medical Research Center of Cardiology" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
Results of the study and conclusions. The application of the developed method of physical rehabilitation of the 50-55 year-old females diagnosed with stage I-II hypertensive disease contributed to the improvement of the cardiovascular system functionality and psychoemotional state: systolic blood pressure in the Experimental Group improved by 13%, and in the Control Group - by 6.2% (p<0.05). Diastolic blood pressure in the Experimental Group improved by 11.87% and in the Control Group - by 5.51% (p<0.05); heart rate improved by 12.13% in the Experimental Group and by 4.56% in the Control Group (p<0.05); the respiratory rate in the Experimental Group improved by 30.73% and in the Control Group - by 11.24% (p<0.05). the PWC170 test rate improved by 22.97% in the Experimental Group and by 8.25% in the Control Group (p<0.05); the WAM rates improved by 80.95% in the Experimental Group and by 31.4% in the Control Group (p<0.05).
The method consists of 3 periods: introductory period (partial load motor mode) lasting 5-7 days; basic period (gentle-training mode) lasting 2 weeks; final period (training motor mode) lasting 4 weeks; and includes: remedial gymnastics with the elements of conditioning, special and breathing exercises, hydrokinesitherapy, morning hygienic gymnastics, dosed walking, simulator exercises, massage, physiotherapy, and independent exercises.
