Russian national competitive-game exercises in military personnel physical training system

Objective of the present study was to scientifically substantiate the use of competitive-game exercises to improve the process of physical training of the Russian army personnel.
Methods and structure of the study. While analyzing the scientific and methodological literature on the problem (by such scientists as B.V. Gorbunov, A.S. Tedoradze, P.P. Svinyin, G.G. Chernetsova, A.V. Alexandrov, V.V. Ponomarev et al.), we were able to identify and systematize various directions and blocks of the Russian national competitive-game exercises. The game exercises were differentiated based on the formation of basic physical qualities.
Results of the study and conclusions. The authors propose exercises to develop speed and strength qualities, overall endurance (physical working capacity), hand-to-hand combat skills.
Proceeding from the literary sources theoretical analysis, the need to include the Russian national competitive-game exercises in the system of physical training of the Russian army personnel. According to the authors, the integration of modern physical education means with national physical exercises having deeply rooted traditions and origins will contribute to more effective training of the Russian army personnel and hand down from generation to generation the wisdom of physical conditioning of the population.
