Keywords: speed-power ability, growth rate, properties of the nervous system, typological complexes, age development.

More pronounced differences were found in relation to typological complexes, which include a combination of two or more properties of the nervous system, unidirectionally affecting the studied trait. The results obtained in the study give grounds to assert that when studying the process of development of abilities, it is necessary to change the research paradigm from age-specific features to individual features of age-related development.
