Introduction. The main system-forming role in psychological structure of sports culture of the person belongs to the motivational component giving to sports activity personal sense and motivational orientation. The aim of the motivational component of the sports culture of students is to encourage interest and motivational orientation socio-cultural entity to sporting activities as a means of forming of personality physical culture.
The aim of the study is to prove experimentally the effectiveness of the formation of the motivational component of sports culture of students on the basis of their chosen sport.
Methodology and organization of the study. The participants of the psycho-pedagogical studies was divided into two groups: control group (CG) consisted of students of faculty of physical culture (100 people) engaged in basic sports and sports and recreational physical activity (fitness, Pilates, stretching, step aerobics) in accordance with the working program of the discipline "Professionally-physical improvement»; the experimental group (EG) included students (100 people) engaged in selected sports according to the approved work program of the discipline "Professional sports improvement". Pedagogical experiment was organized on the basis of the "Gapkit Volga", Kazan. Measurement and evaluation of criteria and indicators of the relative strength of the motives of physical culture and sports were carried out on the basis of modified by the authors of the methodology "Motives of physical culture and sports", developed by A.V. Shaboltas [1]. According to the methodology had identified nine motifs that characterize three levels of development (low, medium, high) motivational orientation of the individual: physical Wellness (motives: physical affirmation (FS), preservation and promotion of health (Susa), the need for motor activity (PDA), semi-sports (motives: social affirmation (SS), a motif belonging to a group (MPG), the socio-emotional motive (SE), athletic orientation (motives: competitive motive (CM), the motive to achieve success (MDU), the motive of self-realization (MLS)), – which together characterize the level of development of the motivational component of sports culture of students. Pedagogical experiment was organized on the basis of the "Gapkit Volga", Kazan.
The results of the study and their discussion. At the beginning of the experiment in the motivational structure of the personality of students KG dominated by the motives of sports orientation (FS, SUZ, PDA), as well as motives of semi-sports orientation (SS, MPG, SAM). To a much lesser extent, the motives of the sports orientation of the personality (CM, MDU, MLS) were manifested. In the motivational structure of the personality of students EG to engage in selected sports dominated motives polusportivnoy orientation (SS, MPG, SAM), to a lesser extent-the motives of sports orientation (SS, MDU, MLS). For two years of pedagogical experiment the psychological structure of motivational orientation of the personality of students of KG practically did not change, at the same time in motivational structure of students of EG dynamics of relative force of the motives (SS, MDU, MLS) defining the sports orientation of the personality considerably increased.
Conclusion. In the motivational structure of the personality of students engaged in basic sports, dominated by the motives of physical fitness and semi – sports orientation, while students engaged in selected sports are largely dominated by the motives of sports orientation, to a lesser extent-semi-sports.
Thus, the study of motivational orientation of students to physical culture and sports is a significant and promising direction of scientific-theoretical and psychological-pedagogical research, as it sets the vector of motivational development of the value attitude of the subject to sports activity and determines the level of formation of the motivational component of sports culture of the individual.
