Management of students' cognitive activity in physical education

Annotation. The purpose of the study is to identify and justify the most rational mechanisms for stimulating and managing cognitive activity of students in the field of physical education. Methodology and organization of research. Methods of empirical and theoretical level were applied: a culture-free test for Cattell's intelligence, the methodology of “value orientations” of M. Rokich. The study showed that the use of the system of control and training tasks in physical education, taking into account the characteristics of the intellectual capabilities of students, can significantly improve the quality and strength of knowledge. The results of the study indicate that the most effective conditions for ensuring the progressive development of cognitive interest in the field of physical education are: increasing the general level of students' physical development; integrated application of active learning methods; stimulation of the emotional sphere of learning; creation of favorable communication in the educational process.
